SUMMARY:2022 Hiking Club - Owl Hike
DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for our next Hiking Club event on Sunday\, December 11th at 6:00 pm.  This event will be an “Owl Hike\,” and we will walk the Delaware Canal towpath by the light of the full moon.\n\nAs a reminder\, all Scouts who hike 25 miles or more over this Scouting year will receive special recognition at our end-of-year event in May.\n\n\n\nWhat to Bring:\n\n– Scouts and other attendees should be sure to pack the Cub Scout Six Essentials: First Aid Kit; Water; Flashlight; Trail Food; Hat; Whistle.\n\n– Sturdy shoes or hiking boots.  Please also dress for the weather: Be Prepared!\n \nRoute: \n \nWe will be hiking along the towpath and keeping an eye out for nocturnal wildlife and also seeing what constellations we can locate.  We’ll hike for about 30 minutes out\, and then back the same way\, and will have the official distance tally at the end of the hike. \n\nOther Info:\n \n– As always we’ll be observing the Outdoor Code and Leave No Trace Principles on this hike.
