Please join us Saturday April 9th between 8 am and 12 pm to help with spring clean up at the Crossing Community Church. This is be a great opportunity for the scouts to help in their community and work towards their rank requirements.
We will be participating as part of the Crossing Community Church Property work day, families are welcome to come and stay for any time slot they can make during that window.
Bring a rake and gloves if you have them.

Please mark your calendar for 6:30 pm on Monday, March 28th for the AoL Crossing over ceremony.
This is a pack event to support and recognize cub scouts that have completed the Arrow of Light requirements and are ‘crossing over’ to Scouts BSA. Additionally we will also recognize our other Scouts’ progress on their advancement by awarding the most recently earned belt loops or pins.
We hope that you all will be able to attend the event to recognize our Scouts’ hard work and achievements!

Our next hike will Sat, March 12th at 2pm at Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA. We will take a long loop around the park but terrain will is mostly flat and trails are well kept.

Pack 10 will be hosting a Hot Chocolate bar for the 2022 Blue and Gold ceremony at the Pavilion at Kid’s Kingdom on Saturday, March 5th at 3:00pm.
We have activities and games for the scouts and each den will have an opportunity to work on their advancement requirements during the celebration.

Join us on Sunday, February 20, at 1:00 pm as we learn some history and celebrate Presidents Day with a hike at Valley Forge Park!
What to Bring:
– Scouts and other attendees should be sure to pack the Cub Scout Six Essentials: First Aid Kit; Water; Flashlight; Trail Food; Hat; Whistle.
– Sturdy shoes or hiking boots. Please also dress for the weather: Be Prepared!
Route:
We will be starting at the visitor’s center and will explore some of the trails through the historic encampment of the Continental Army. We will hike for roughly 1-1.5 hours, and will have the official distance tally at the end of the hike.
Other Info:
– Remember, Scouts who hike 25 miles or more (either with the Pack or with their families) will get special recognition at our end-of-year event this May!
– As always we’ll be observing the Outdoor Code and Leave No Trace Principles on this hike.

Pack 10’s 2022 Pinewood Derby will be held on Friday, February 4 at Crossing Community Church!
Volunteers Needed!
The Pinewood Derby is one of the Pack’s biggest annual events, and we need a team effort to make sure that our event runs smoothly and that everyone has a great time. Specifically, we need parent volunteers to fill the following roles:
– Starter
– Decorating committee (2)
– Cleanup Team

Pack 10 Hiking club will be going on a casual hike at the nearby Five Mile Woods Preserve on Sat, January 8th at 1pm.
Join us for a family friendly hike on the relatively flat trails at this great local park. While the trails are partially decked, bring proper footware and expect to get muddy shoes if there has been a recent rain.
Scouts should come prepared and have their 6 essentials.

Mark your calendars for our next Hiking Club event on Friday, December 17th at 7:00 pm. This event will be an “Owl Hike,” and we will walk the Delaware Canal towpath by the light of the full moon.
As a reminder, all Scouts who hike 25 miles or more over this Scouting year will receive special recognition at our end-of-year event in May.
What to Bring:
– Scouts and other attendees should be sure to pack the Cub Scout Six Essentials: First Aid Kit; Water; Flashlight; Trail Food; Hat; Whistle.
– Sturdy shoes or hiking boots. Please also dress for the weather: Be Prepared!
Route:
We will be hiking along the towpath and keeping an eye out for nocturnal wildlife and also seeing what constellations we can locate. We’ll hike for about 30 minutes out, and then back the same way, and will have the official distance tally at the end of the hike.

Join Pack 10 for a bike hike next Sunday, November 7th at 9 am on the Delaware Canal Tow Path!
We will be meeting at the Yardley Park and Ride parking lot and go for an out and back bike ride of ~40 mins.
All participants must wear helmets when riding and should bring water / snack.

Pack 10 is invited to march in the Veteran’s Day Parade on Saturday, November 6th at 12:30pm.
The parade will march down Edgewood Ave and conclude at the Veteran’s square.
This is a great opportunity for our Scouts to show support and learn more about the experiences and service of our veterans.
Scouts should wear their Class A uniforms to this event.
